As soon as Lilly recovered from the shock of Mungo arriving she started spending most of her day stood close to him. It turns out horses need company in order to sleep properly – at least one keeps guard whilst the other has deep sleep.

She got rather upset when the wind blew Mungo over so we fostered Giselle to keep her company which she did – fractiously until Lilly died in November 2023 aged 28!
