Q1 2026: welcome Adam (+ hip op recovery)

JAN: Both new hips now installed – taking a while to bed in the 2nd one. Hopefully then we should be able to finish off the old bungalow demolition in Feb before getting the balcony paving sorted.

FEB: Left hip slice decided to play up. Forced to spend the month taking it easy. Working on detailing and quotes for cladding. With scaffolding it looks like the total to get the experts in (labour only) will be well in xs of £30k. Decided we’re going to do it ourselves. Gives us a chance to focus more on details and quirky stuff.

MARCH: Tried to start the balcony paving but delayed due to the waterproof membrane needing final touches – early April… So started on organising racking etc. in the workshop, tree maintenance in the culm meadow and visiting the latest addition to the clan, grandchild no.6, Adam (Stride). Born Tuesday 10th March.
