January update – ground floor walls Pt. I

RIP Dad. August 1938 to December 2023. An inspiration and a cracking innings. Thank you Dad!

A quiet December due to weather and sorting Dad’s affairs. Planning a slow month in January as we’re wimps and don’t want to endure the wet and the cold but on nice sunny days we’re plodding ahead getting the land drains finished and the ground level raised to keep the site nice and clean when the rain arrives again.

Below, Tracy monitors the last radon sump going in the garage. Ralph was supposed to do this but got sidetracked by a bird.

Meanwhile here’s one end of the house perimeter landrain going in from the garage corner down to the paddock…

And the next load of Nudura arrives so we can finish off the garage perimeter and build two courses of the first floor walls before pouring the garage slab.
