With a bit of luck Marj, our surrogate Mum, 95, may be taking advantage of the offer of the granny flat. So, all hands to the pumps to get downstairs ship shape for her majesty. That’s Marj in Dad’s right hand, not above the door handle!
It means delaying the cladding until next year but family beats cladding!
Even better news, Jonesy, our mad, politically correct, South Ifrican neighbour has joined the team. So, Marj, any problems when you move in, blame apartheid!

Bathroom sink / drawer unit sourced. Ex display. Down from £9500 (in 2014!) to £150 due to small chip in the porcelain!!! Ridiculous RRP but with IR water control there’s no need for tap levers so that should be good for Marj. Hopefully it all works when installed!
Kitchen sourced. Second hand. Great condition with just the right amount of units for the flat and only 30 mins drive away.
