September (16th) update: Site levelled and strip foundation trenches started

Site more or less level and down to ‘reduced dig’ level. Dogs OK with it. Bedroom 1 marked out to make sure the Boss is happy with dimensions etc. We have approval.

First trenches going in. Slow progress levelling the site in between all the rainy days but we have plenty of time on our side as we are still waiting for the OK from the Planners for the new location. Hopefully the 29th (September).

Note where the digger is – stone outcrop to the left. The water in the trench can’t drain away because of the solid rock! We’re going to have to hire a bigger digger and pecker to (hopefully (again)) carve it out of the way of the footings. Otherwise geology has been kind to us with the Engineers happy with 300mm of concrete in a 600mmx600mm trench.

Hope you noticed the recycled garage roof – now security fencing.
